In this work, I explore the intersection between human identity and the natural world through the figure of a woman whose body remains human, yet whose head has transformed into that of a bird. Her dress, in soft blue tones, evokes stillness, depth, and introspection—qualities often associated with water and sky. The surrounding pink hues create a sense of vulnerability and inner warmth, offering contrast and emotional balance.
The bird-head symbolizes instinct, intuition, and the call of freedom—an element that exists beyond logic, rooted in nature’s cycles. This hybrid figure is not a creature of fantasy but rather a metaphor for our innate connection to the more-than-human world. She invites us to remember that we are not separate from nature, but rather shaped by it, influenced by its rhythms, and carried—like birds—by unseen currents of energy and emotion.
This painting is part of my ongoing inquiry into identity, transformation, and the silent dialogue between the soul and the natural elements that surround us.
