Layers of Existence: The Art of Being

We, as individuals, are intricate and layered beings, often far more complex than we realize. Our personalities, thoughts, and emotions are like layers, some visible to the world, others hidden even from ourselves.

At times, what lies beneath these layers is a mystery, especially to us.

Our subconscious holds secrets, truths that we are not always prepared to confront or understand. It’s fascinating how a friend or even a stranger might see aspects of us that remain obscure to our own perception.

The reality we experience is deeply subjective, shaped by the masks we wear, by the roles we unconsciously adopt in different social circles and environments.

These layers of behavior, of personality, act as a defense, a means to fit into a world that often feels uncertain. We create personas that serve to protect us, to conform to societal expectations, while we hide our true essence, the divine, glorious light within each of us.

Beneath the masks, there exists an infinite well of beauty, creativity, and truth. Yet, we are often afraid to reveal it, scared of the vulnerability it requires.

The mind is a complex place, one in which we can get so lost that we forget this inner brilliance, this core of light that sustains our existence.

In my work as an artist, I am constantly exploring this concept.

My paintings reflect these layers, built up over time with delicate, diluted strokes of paint. Every layer contributes to the whole, just as every experience, every emotion, forms who we are.

The beauty that emerges is not in the perfection of the surface but in the complexity that lies beneath.

Just as we are multi-faceted beings, so too are my works, a delicate interplay of what is seen and what is hidden.

Through art, I attempt to remind myself and others that we are not simply the masks we wear. We are complex creatures, holding within us a profound and beautiful truth, one that is always present, even when it feels distant or obscured.
